Yamaha Warehouse Sale 24-25 July 2010

Saturday,

Went to Yamaha Music Warehouse Sale @ Kelana Jaya. Primary objective was to get a double paddle set for my drum kit. Only a couple of box left... with 40% discount. Unfortunately it was out of my budget. I was expecting around RM7XX; so with heavy heart I have to pass the double paddle kit. Maybe next time. I did, however, left the warehouse sale with a couple of cymbals.

But there is, however, there's one cymbal that caught my attention. I wanted to get it but again, budget constrain gets in the way. This is actually the ride cymbal that I wanted.

Oh well, better save up for next warehouse sale. I'm thinking of getting the Yamaha Hex drum rack system.

Models: Judge Dredd (Movie version)

After sitting in storage for three years, I've decided to proceed with completing this kit. It was given to me by a friend, an experienced modeller, who have lost his interest to work on this kit. The kit is missing one part, the second half of the right hand (read: have to scratchbuild!). As of last night, the kit is still at the most tedious stage: puttying and sanding.

Things to do:

Scratchbuild Dredd's badge to use as backdrop.

Create a worn out look on the base by adding some scraps, rust, stain, scratches, dents and dings,etc.

Lighting effect from under the base - lights will be peeking through the grill holes. Which means, I have to drill out each and every one of the grill holes.

I have given myself a 3 week deadline to complete this build (24th July).

Floater kaput

The water tank in our new house is having problem. Found out during my evening shower last night. Right now all the upper floor bath is bone dry. The missus called the handyman from the management office to check since our house is still under warranty period.

Yup, the floater in the water tank went kaput. The handyman will try to get some people to address the problem. Hopefully it will be settled later in the afternoon.

Juniors: Many styles of Yusuf sleeping

Yusuf ni susah sikit nak tido, tak macam abangnya... senang nak tido. Tanda-tanda si Yusuf nak tido ni macam-macam. Sembelih dinosaur, mintak makan, gentel bola siku ibu/ayah, suruh simpan bedak, etc. Tgk la antara style si Yusuf nak tido...


Dalam pukul 3:30 pm, tanda-tanda mengantuk dah nampak dah...


Lepas setengah jam, jumpa Yusuf tertido kat sofa macam ni...


Yang ni lak, Yusuf mintak makan walaupun dah mengantuk.

Yang ni pulak, gaya meratib.
